Host a trunk,

We're looking for local businesses to host a trunk and sponsor Dunellen's BEST Trunk or Treat. A trunk spot is free: decorate your car, hand out candy, and meet hundreds of local families in one afternoon. Sponsor packages start at $150 and put your name or logo in front of every family that checks in.

Sponsorships are paid by cash or check at the front desk of Warrior Martial Arts, 177 North Ave, Dunellen. Logos go to dunellen@warriormafit.com by Friday, October 16.

What you get

A lot full of local families

  • Your name on the signEvery trunk gets a printed number sign. Yours carries your business name, and so does the ballot the kids vote with.
  • Hand out what you likeCandy plus flyers, coupons, samples, or swag. Theme the trunk around what you do.
  • A steady line all afternoonFamilies come through in half-hour groups from 1:00 to 3:00, so you get time to talk to people.

How the day runs

  • 11:30
    Setup opensPull into the back lot at 177 North Ave and decorate. A table or a tent beside your car is welcome.
  • 12:15
    Lot closes to carsEvery trunk needs to be parked by now. After 12:15 the lot is for families on foot.
  • 1:00
    Trunk or treating startsFamilies come through in half-hour groups until 3:00. Cars stay for the whole event.
  • 3:00
    Best Trunk announcedKids vote all afternoon by trunk number. The winner gets $100 and the trophy.

What we ask

  • Bring 4 large bags of candyIndividually wrapped. We hand out extra candy during the event.
  • Decorate the trunkPick a theme, add some lights, and give it a little effort. Kids remember the trunks that tried.
  • Stay the whole timeTrunks stay from 1:00 to 3:00. Leaving early means missing the vote and the prize.
  • Keep it family friendlyThis is a free event for kids and their parents. Keep the decorations friendly for children and the pitch light.
